Our “Amara Valley Volunteering Program” is already a huge success. Many people had the chance to come with us and CoCreate in this beautiful project, thanks to them we have been able to improve the experience we are offering you.
What is it about?
Every quarter of the year, we will open applications to actively participate as volunteers in our project for a period of 1 Month, supporting us with various tasks and help us maintain our space for transformation.
What do we need from you?
Volunteering requires your availability 5 days a week between 5 to 6 hours a day. If you have experience in permaculture, carpentry, cooking, cleaning or gardening, it is something that we appreciate, even though it is not necessary. It is more important that you know how to cultivate positive interpersonal relationships, that you have a proactive attitude, that you like nature and bring all your willingness to participate in various ways. For example:
Maintenance
Help with various repair or construction tasks.
Permaculture
Plant, cultivate and maintain gardens. Take care of our chickens.
Kitchen helper
Assist our “Amara Kitchen” with cleaning and organizing.
Retreat support
Help with cleaning common areas for guests.
What do we offer you?
By coming to Amara Valley as a volunteer you will have access to our 10 hectares of nature where you can take time for yourself. Additionally you have:
◈ 2 days off per week
◈ Single bed in a shared room (two or three people)
◈ All meals included, vegan and vegetarian options
◈ Internet access in the main house
◈ Yoga classes
◈ Access to facilities: Pool, Sauna, Meditation Room, Yoga Shala
◈ Participation in some events. (Conditions apply)
Amara Valley is a unique place where you will have the opportunity to connect with a diverse network of teachers, therapists and artists who organize workshops, retreats and ceremonies. We are a multicultural environment that strengthens and supports like-minded people in their journey.
What is a typical work week like?
The activities are adapted to the needs of the day. They depend on the retreats in progress and the number of people available each day. The day before retreats, the main focus is on preparation (making beds, cleaning common spaces, etc). On retreat days the support will be oriented to help our “Amara Kitchen” with cleaning, and the rest of the days it is oriented to other projects that we carry out at the level of carpentry, gardening and maintenance of the site. In general there are daily tasks such as feeding the “Amara Happy Chickens” and managing the compost.
Which are the requirements?
◈ Minimum age 21 years
◈ Have documentation or visa that allows you to work in Spain (EU)
◈ We only accept volunteers for the full Period
◈ English level at least intermediate is appreciated. Our meetings are usually in English
◈ Have an interview with our Volunteers Coordinator
◈ Only 6 spots available for every period.
What is not included?
Flights, travel insurance, personal insurance, internal transport, visa.
To formalize your volunteering, you must issue a payment of 80€ as a guarantee. This deposit will be fully returned once your volunteer period is over. In case of cancellations, the amount of the guarantee will only be returned if the cancellation is made at least 10 days prior to the start of the volunteering.
